Apple cake

Old fashioned apple cake.

If you’re looking for something light, soft, moist and delicious, give this apple cake a go! ;)

I assure you, you won’t be disappointed and very fast it will become one of your favourite desserts. :)

It’s super easy and fast, the most complicated thing is peeling and slicing the apples. :)

Also, this dessert, it’s very cheap, ’cause you need basic ingredients that everyone have at home, at any time.



2 apples (Granny Smith)

1 egg

12 dag brown sugar

10 dag granulated sugar

pinch of salt

zest of 1 lemon

110 g all-purpose flour

75 ml almond milk

1 package (12 g) baking powder

icing sugar for dusting


Preheat the oven to 180 C

Grease and flour a 17 cm pan and set aside

Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples

Place the egg, sugar, lemon zest, and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer, and beat until thick and creamy

Add the flour, baking powder, and milk, and beat until well combined

Add two thirds of the apples to the batter and mix with a wooden spoon

Place the batter in the prepared pan

Arrange the remaining apple slices over the top of the batter

Bake in the oven for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Dust the apple cake with powdered sugar before serving
